I love hearing the staff talk about getting ready for a residential trip. This week sees the Year 3/4 trip to Beeston and I know a lot of thought has gone into preparing for it. The children will have a wonderful time and I look forward to popping down to see them whilst they are there. Think I might be able to have my tea there as a treat on Wednesday night! An extra special team spirit gets created when staff go away together as there is much to share and more time for talk. I chuckle to myself now as I remember losing Mrs Phillips and my group last time we went to the forest...

The end of Key Stage 2 tests take place next week and our Year 6 children will be taking tests in Reading, Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar and Maths. They have worked well to ensure they are ready for these tests and they have a trip to the cinema to look forward to with Mrs Johnson and Mrs Spain on Thrsday afternoon when all the tests are finished.
Good Luck to them all - we look forward to seeing them for special breakfast on Monday morning.

...to everyone who visited the Fair this week. It seemed as though there was a good range of things to buy and enjoy. Nice to be able to have a mix of indoor and outdoor things too. I have a feeling we may be able to enjoy indoor and outdoor things this weekend too and with a three day weekend in front of us that feels rather nice. Here's to everyone finding some special family time within the weekend...

Miss Barlow's class have been observing the chicks hatch from their eggs and they have now headed back to the farm. It has been amazing to witness the miracles of new life and to observe the children's responses to this. I am so pleased we have teachers who deliver rich experiences to the children and will remember for a very long time the absolute delight of one young girl who came into the dinner hall at the start of a lunch duty this week and could not contain her exitement as she explained to me that I simply had to see what was happening in her classroom. Magic moments in a wonderful school...

Well, we all started to clear the field this week and even with a large team of us it is going to take a couple more visits before it is fully cleared of glass and rubbish. If you and a friend are willing to use litter pickers to assist us we would be very grateful. Please call into school to arrange a time when you could go over for a half hour of volunteer time. Many hands make light work...

It seems to be coming from the sun and it gives me hope for a Summer Term where we can enjoy some sunshine!
The school field will need to be cleared of rubbish during the next few weeks and it would be good to have some help with this. Please let a member of staff know if you would be able to volunteer for an hour or so. Happy to do it at a time which suits any volunteers...

Our apologies, but school has to be shut today - Friday 22nd March 2013. I enjoyed digging out of the drive way, but still couldn't get in and that was the same for a number of us.

What a wonderful way to round off the week ! The art exhibition was thoroughly enjoyed by the children, their families, staff and guests. I loved watching the children proudly find their own art work and then take time to enjoy the rest of the entries on display. Jack did an excellent job of selling raffle tickets for us and he will be able to announce the winner to us in assembly tomorrow.
The Images art team congratulated us on the 'lovely family feel' of our school and the enthusiam and good manners of our children.
We have purchased three pieces of art from each class to put on display in school in celebration of this event. A big thank you to Miss Barlow for organising the event for us and giving us a memorable experience.

It was good to see the lovely costumes on Thursday last week and to see so many children getting involved. It made me realise how much I miss the Borders Book Shop and brought back happy memories of taking children to the store on World Book Day for a mooch around and an explore of good reading. A big thank you to Mrs Forster and Mrs Spain for ensuring the children got to take home a book on Friday - it's good to explore a new book. I am really looking forward to Friday's art exhibition and the hero themed dressing up. We are asking for a pound for dressing up to support the Red Nose Day charity collection. And, as mentioned in the newsletter the children's framed art will be on sale for £7. Interspersed with the children's creative works, you will also be able to spot some art from the grown-ups. Miss Todd has a favourite and I wonder if you will too...

I am sure that the adults enjoyed their trip as much as the children, but all the same it is wonderful that a trip was organised for the children to go and watch a football match yesterday. I loved receiving text updates from Miss Barlow and Mrs Seaward and look forward to hearing all about it in the morning. Your children are a credit to themselves and you and as always our teachers and teaching assistants (and those they encourgared to go with them to support the trip!) were a crdeit to themselves and Westminster School.

On Friday 15th March each child will have a piece of art work on display in the school hall. Framed work will be there to be perused and enjoyed and will also be offered for sale. The last time we put on such an exhibition it was an absolute delight and I do hope to see you there. There will be a raffle and an auction and you are welcome to come anytime between 2pm and 4pm.
Can't wait to see what our artists create..

It has been lovely to be able to spend some time in the outdoor world with the feeling that Spring is on its way. This weekend I have been able to have a little wander without needing scarf and coat and have been able to see the beauty of the snowdrops in full bloom and the daffodils in bud. I love the feeling of hope that Spring brings for me. I hope you have been able to enjoy the sunshine in a way which gives you pleasure.

A lovely gathering of folk at lunch time on Friday and once again an absolute delight to be able to host a family lunch. I think we had one of the best turn outs ever and it is lovely to see your children enjoying your company. I loved our bingo games too and throroughly enjoyed seeing the bobbing up for our two little ducks. A big thank you to everyone who puts in the time and energy to make sure we can relax and enjoy our times together at Westminster. Happy Saturday!

To take part in the Red Nose Day dressing up event I would have to consider dressing up as Dolly Parton or maybe Mary Berry. Both of these heroes of mine have focussed on the future and set themselves goals that they have worked towards and realised. However, the costume that seems to suit my stature (and my personality?) rather more is slightly less goal-oriented; Noddy. It's interesting to think about famous people who we consider to be our heroes and also those everyday' heroes with whom we work and spend leisure time. Whoever you admire in your everyday life, it is important to take time to let them know.

I love this swiss roll of snow on my car's windscreen from 2010! Have just enjoyed a pleasant half hour looking back at photos my sister has sent me of creative snowmen she has formed and my own natural pictures of snow. Have you any spectacular snow photos from this year or previous winters?

Sitting cosily this morning watching small flakes begin to float down that have now turned to larger flakes. I love watching it, but I don't like digging out of my driveway if it gets heavy. Still have memories of the time a few years ago when a group of us stayed in the school building until late evening as the snow had fallen heavily and suddenly! We had contemplated sleeping at school and it still makes us laugh now. Fortunately we now have effective weather reports from the County team. We will keep in contact with families via text and this website as well as local radio to keep you all informed if the snow heads from Wales over to Ellesmere Port.

In recognition of the success of Westminster Community Primary, I have been asked to spend two days per week during this half term assisting with the whole school development of another school in Cheshire West and Chester. Mrs Johnson will be your main point of contact on Wednesdays and Fridays and I will be fulfilling my commitments here on the other days of the week. I'm sure you will agree that this will benefit both schools as we will be sharing good practice and evaluating our work.

At each end of term assembly I tell the children that I am looking forward to seeing them back again a little bit taller and a little bit wiser. And it's nearly time to start a new term...
I had my seven sprouts on Christmas Day (luckily there was also a good slice of pie and a range of other vegetables) and have enjoyed some free time to read and walk and consider some creative ventures that I want to crack on with during the summer break. So now it's time to make sure that a food order has been sent off for Breakfast Club, my shoes are polished and my school bag is ready. I am no taller, but I am hoping I might just be a wee bit wiser.
I wish you all a happy and healthy 2013 in which memories are made.

Seemed good to me, but do let a member of staff your thoughts about it so we can decide whether to add it to our calendar of events next year...
Some good musical events this week as we head towards the Christmas break. A little something for everyone.
I really like the fact that Dee Sign Choir has become part of our Christmas traditions here at Westminster.
Here's to a happy and healthy festive season where you bring joy to others and others bring joy to you...

I seem to have been enjoying Christmas music earlier than normal this year. It has been lovely to be working in the office while sounds of children rehearsing their songs for the Performce make their way up the corridor. We have also started a few days in the staffroom recently with a couple of Christmas tracks. Singing is good for the soul. It has also been fun to share some seasonal favourites with friends and family and find out who has similar taste in music and who can introduce me to new tracks. I do hope you have some favourite songs that you and your family are sharing. A few members of staff got up on the stage on Friday during a rehearsal to show the children what some of the moves were like. It made us all smile and there are now plans to maybe 'put on a spot of entertainment' for the children before the end of term. Could be fun!! Come Darkness, Come LightMary's Boy Child

Maybe you have been preparing for the festive season. At school preparations are underway to make sure the children can share songs and words with parents and guests soon. A tree has also arrived and it was wonderful to see it beautifully decorated on Friday evening after school. (I do hope that it keeps its needles for at least 10 more days!) At home I have bought a few things for the Christmas cupboard and this afternoon the nativity set has been unveiled - it's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas! Tomorrow the Christmas Postbox comes out at school and our nativity will be set up. Our choir helped to set things off nicely when they sang at the Civic Square last week and this seems to me to set the scene for sharing our gifts and times this year. Here's to giving joy to others and remembering those who are dear to us.

We had a lovely singing session this week with Shirley from the music team. She came to help us learn the words for some of our songs for Christmas and her enthusiasm, energy and expression were infectious. A fun hour in her company and the singing from all of us improved dramatically. Can't find any links on you tube to our songs, but whilst having a look I found this which encapsulates good singing. Hope you enjoy! Some singing to enjoy!

At the end of a busy day today we all stopped and had a look at the projects that the children have handed in from last half term. It was wonderful to see the good work that had been completed. The children have really risen to the challenge of this new style of homework and I am looking forward to congratulating the children in assembly tomorrow. We were all very impressed. I also got to send my first text this week and was pleased that Mrs Forster taught me how just as I had finished looking at how well the children were doing with their spellings and times tables. I had just seen some really good progress reports from teachers regarding test scores. A cinematic treat for children and staff tomorrow morning which I think is a fitting end to a week of lots of good work and a lovely trip to Cadbury's World for our Key Stage 2 children. (Thanks too for coming to Bingo - if you did - it was fun and there were some really good quackers in the hall!!)

Today I took the tins of food that were kindly donated for Harvest Festival to Trinity Church. It was good to build on the collection they had already got and good to know that our kindness will make a difference to those who need it. My Nan taught me the kindness of sharing food and made me realise that something that can often be simple can make an important impact on someone else. So lovely this week too to see the donations of cakes that were made for our Jeans for Genes cake sale. The children thoroughly enjoyed the baking efforts of all those who took time to be creative - excellent stuff. We should do it again soon!

I have just been to the shops to buy a loaf of bread for my breakfasts for the coming week and while I was there I bought a few tins of food to start off our Harvest Festival collection. It is tradition at our school that we donate some food to a local charity and also come together in school to share food on Harvest Festival Day. Each member of staff will bring a gift of cheese or fruit or vegetables and then arrange these on harvest platters to share after assembly. I was delighted on Friday when Maria came to ask if we would like a special harvest loaf like the gorgeous one she made for us last year. It is good to share gifts around harvest.

It's a lovely feeling to be back in the school community with everyone and to be sharing time together again. I like to remind the children before a holiday that when we next see them they will be a little bit taller and a little bit wiser. (I guess for adults we become a little bit older and a little bit wiser!) All the children have settled into their new year groups and as always I am delighted by the speed at which our youngest pupils have learnt the routines and become part of the school community. There has been a happy buzz on the playground and around school as people continue old friendships and build new ones. Impressive too to note the quality of the application letters for positions of responsibility for our Year 6 pupils. Our pupil voice work will go from strength to strength this year as we work with our older pupils with their special jobs, our School Council members and our Team Captains. Here's to a happy and successful school year.

Anna Turney inspired us all and led to children Going for Gold with their work this week. Excellent work has been produced and I was quite simply stunned by all the books and individual pieces that the children brought to assembly on Friday. I am sure many members of the school community will join me in following Anna via her website and tuning in to the Winter Olympics in 2014 (to be held in Russia) to watch her continued success and gold medal journey.
Our school also 'went for gold' this week when we had our Family Partnership Award assesment day and the excellent news is the award will be officially presented on 16th July. Please join us at 9:15am that day if you would like to celebrate this achievement with us. Rita Cheminais will attend to present the award and it means a great deal to me to be headteacher at a school where this award is presented.
And now for some packing as I feel a trip to the Conway Centre coming on!

So, the week started in Delamere forest with a wonderful group of children and staff and ended in our school hall where there was a bouncy castle and a wonderful set of families. A busy, but lovely week.
I noticed during lunch duty on Thursday, when back at school, that those children who had been on the residential looked a little bit older and a little bit wiser. I love experiences that shape us and make us grow. Well done Year 3/4! Well done residential staff! Well done Fair Goers!

A big thank you to all those involved in setting up the fair and volunteering their time and skills to ensure there was a little something for everyone. Looks like we may well have raised over £300 which is an excellent amount.
A very Christmassy week this week all in all... November ended with a visit from the reindeer, our younger children have been to church to meet the Nativity characters, our older children have been to Sing the Christmas story and the week ended with a visit from Santa and a whole fair in the hall. Mix in some visits to Delamere, singing in the community, a joint craft activity with Hollymere residents and some Christmas performances from our children and the range becomes highly impressive.

We now have a team of staff together who are working to achieve the Family Partnership Award for our school. We have started to look at all the things that happen in school to ensure we work well with parents and family members and I am pleased to say there are lots of good things going on.
This week while we were chatting we found out that there is a national family week coming up soon and we thought it would be good to run a family quiz and see which family can win a prize by working together to answer the quiz questions. This is now being prepared and should be ready for families to pick up when they come to family lunch on Friday.
In the meantime, if you could have a little think about anything you would like to see us get better at when we are thinking families I would be delighted to know and then the team can work on that over the coming year. Your suggestions are much appreciated...

Gorgeous weather and fantastic involvement from all the children. It is so good to see each young person having a go at the races they have chosen. One of the best trips away for our school I think. The children and staff had an excellent time and were well looked after by the people at PGL. The Family Learning team are delighted to launch an exciting and innovative new intergenerational course to extend their present offer.
YOU CAN DO IT! aims to help parents to increase their own and their child’s confidence and resilience, develop skills to enrich their family lives and prepare for work when they are ready.
It will engage parents and their children and put learning and transferable skills at the centre of family life. It will provide positive shared learning experiences in a supportive environment taking families closer to realising their aspirations in life and work.
Sessions include building skills to gain confidence, to communicate better, and to present themselves in the best possible way.
It promises to be great fun, a must for all who know that with a little more confidence they could achieve so much more!
This sounds quite good to me and I think it ties in really well with the power of positive thinking. We have a new award to achieve next year and we will be reviewing the way we work with parents throughout the life of this school. Anyone want to join the team and help achieve the award??

Our new SEAL theme for this half term is Changes. I am impressed with the number of pieces of homework that are now being returned from our children in KS2. I think family homework tasks are the best kind and I hope you will enjoy talking with your child about their responses or helping them to complete their work. This theme ties in really well with goal setting. Are you in the habit of setting yourself goals? It can be very interesting to find yourself a quiet space and make a note of a goal you would like to achieve within a month, a goal you would like to achieve over the next year and a goal for three years into the future. Why not get yourself a little notebook and write down your 3 goals?

I have just heard about these... Between 4pm and 6pm on a Monday you can go to the Community Centre and make a dish to take home and share. It costs just 50p and sounds like a fun thing to do. Do let me know if you are going to pop along.

There was a lovely time of celebration this afternoon just before the end of the day when the Kick Rounders team returned from their afternoon of games. Big smiles all round and a big thank you to Miss Marshall for organising their attendance and Mrs Spain for taking them out so that they could compete.

... That's our topic this half term for our SEAL work. Make this the week that you take time to show someone or tell them that they are special to you. (Which do you prefer - someone telling you you are special or showing you you are special by doing something for you?)

Year 6 children have been tackling their tests well and I can hardly believe we have got to the point where there is just one more to go. They can be very proud of themselves for working hard and maintaining a mature attitude throughout.

It seems like such a long time since we had a celebration assembly so it was lovely to celebrate successes this morning in our traditional way. It was good to see our Year 6 pupils receive a certificate today in recognition of their maturity and we wish them well as they prepare to sit their reading , writing and mathematics tests next week. It was also good to have the whole of our Year 3/4 class up to the front to receive their certificate for their recent Delamere trip - they were well looked after and they had the perfect weather whilst there in which to enjoy the amazing surroundings. Wilbur and William have gone home this weekend to have adventures of their own and the green house captains took the cup round to celebrate a double whammy win... All in all a happy week. Here's to a happy weekend and another good week next week.

It has been lovely to come back to the new term and have extra special things happening in school. Today Wes Magee is a guest at our school sharing his talents with the children and then tomorrow we have the community meal to celebrate the Royal Wedding. I found myself revisiting my collection of poetry books last night and getting quite excited at the thought of the red, white and blue 'cocktail' that should make an appearance at the meal. Hope at least one of these events has given you reason to smile this week...

I went to a concert last night and there was much music to enjoy. This got me thinking about the trip that the Year 5/6 children will have in the Summer Term where they get to visit the Bridgewater Hall and play along with the Halle Orchestra. This is the most excellent experience and it brings much joy to hear the music AND the comments about how good it feels to be part of it. (I look forward to seeing Mrs Marsh's big musical achievement smile again.) It's now got me wondering if there is a parent of a current Year 4 child who would like to learn alongside their child next year or indeed a member of the PTA... A version of Beethoven's Symphony No 9 for you to enjoy

What a fantastic red nose day. So many fun things in the day and so much attention to raising money. Will let you know the full total raised next week - but you can all be very proud and know that you made a difference to the Comic Relief fundraising total. I loved my special bath!!

Nicely decorated hall, a good number of guests and a lovely atmosphere this morning as we all joined together to raise money for a very worthy cause. Good to see the children working in their teams trying some physical activities while adult guests had time for tea and chat. Thank you PTA for coming up with a good idea. Dressing in red looked good too and those same outfits would suit Red Nose Day which is coming up soon... A track for you to listen to: If I Should Fall Behind

A little challenge was set for the children yesterday in assembly and a prize was prepared for the child who could turn up this morning with something that St David is associated with apart from the leek. It was a pleasure to be greetd by a boy at 8:10 with a well presented daffodil. St David said it was the little things that count and with that in mind I made it my mission last night to take time out to take daffodils and biscuits to a welsh couple I have not seen for a while. They seemed pleased and to the boy who brought me the daffodil I would like to say - it's not just about listening in assembly and learning it's the little things that count like presenting a flower to someone. You put a big smile on my face. Thank you.

I love getting fed and having no washing up! Seriously though, it was lovely to spend another evening in the company of people who are committed to developing the local community. I was particularly pleased to see that the fitness trail is on the list of priorities as well as a nature reserve type area. I also heard a whisper that some people are contemplating setting up a local shop from which we can buy fresh produce - sounds good to me. There is a lot of good listening to ideas going on and some good people working hard to get things going.

... seemed to be just the ticket this Friday! Children and staff racing up and down corridors on bikes and didi cars and much hilarity all round. The childen made many positive comments so we will see if this is something they may like again in the future. Could be the perfect reward for when our attendance reaches more than 94%. Will keep you posted. What a wonderful place to work!

I drove in this morning planning our sponsored spell event and was wondering whether families would like an anagram challenge over tea and cakes... Year 3 and Year 4 have been doing well with anagrams this week and it was good fun to watch them engage in an activity with their teacher. I will put together an intriguing list after I have finished ensuring our paperwork is nicely organised for the Ofsted inspection which is now due on Tuesday. I was originally thinking along the lines of renaming the days of the week so Tuesday became Suetday and other such things, but might now wait till after Ofsted to tell the children that one in case they start writing it in their books and we are judged as rather crazy! :-)

Today in assembly I told a Frog and Toad story. These stories are superb reminders of what life is really all about. I wonder if your child can tell you the story... We also thought about the importance of having friends and indeed having a best friend. Remember to let your friends know how important they are to you.

Welcome back to a new school year. The first two days of having your children in school have been lovely. The children look smart, are eager to learn their new class routines and are settling to their learning well. New starts are special - I do hope that you have enjoyed listening to your child's recounts of the new school year. Maybe some of you keep a happiness book like I do. This is a bit like a holiday shoe box with a whole range of pictures and snippets and it makes a super memory jogger and never fails to bring a smile to my face. Music too is important. I hope you like this rather touching track... The Last Rose of Summer

The children and staff were having a wonderful time when I went down yesterday evening. They are a real credit to themselves, their families and our school. Each morning and evening Miss Marshall updates me on how things are and it is always a pleasure to hear about how it's going and send out a brief text message to parents. I particularly loved hearing about and seeing some of the letter writing that has been going on between families - moments to treasure. I will go revisit them all tomorrow and possibly do another backward roll while I am there to celebrate!

Wow! It was lovely to see so many children dressed up and taking part in the well choreographed dance warm up and then the mile itself. That was our first visit to the school field this year and a lovely way to start using the grassed area again. I loved seeing all the smiles and feeling that obvious pride as miles were completed. Well done. The children have had plenty of opportunities to find out about Sport Relief in assemblies and lessons to ensure they understood the background to why they were taking part. Thank you for supporting them and for the donations you sent in as sponsor money. Have a good weekend.

This week gives us two opportunities to eat together. The first is on Wednesday when it is our Chinese New Year lunch. You are very welcome to book a place to come and eat with your child. (I hope you like our new dining tables.) Then on Thursday local councillors and community members will be joining us for curry or hotpot at 5:30pm so that they can hear your views about the local area and what the priorities should be. The more voices the better and it's always good to see you in school to share a meal or a chat. Having just finished the washing up after Sunday lunch I am also looking forward to a couple of meals that don't result in dishes for me to clean!!

... we had had the first family lunch. How time flies! Since then we have had Bonfire Night family lunch and now we look into the future and know that the next family lunch will be the Christmas lunch. Good news was received this week as we were successful in our application for a bid to improve our dining facilities. The School Council had just suggested that coloured seating would be good and hey presto the bid comes through AND I manage to find a company who sell just the thing! Will keep you posted on developments. The other good news is the work will include new windows and doors for the John Street side of the building and that is something we have wanted to do for a long time.

So nice to hear all the positive comments about the food served at our first family lunch of this academic year. Lovely to see so many people join us and to share time with you all. WOW! What can I say? I was so disappointed this morning when I arrived at school to see such rain. However, I am now totally overwhelmed by the genorosity of our families and the enjoyment we got from making a coin mountain in my room because we could not go onto the yard and try to cover the red line. Bags of money have been weighed by our support staff and my office has a carpet of golden coins. It was impossible to count them all today despite the assistance of our head boy, head girl and deputy head girl and some willing adult hands. Can't wait to find out what has been raised towards our school Christmas trip. You are all amazing...

What an excllent experience for our children this week. Year 5/6 asked good questions and also showed that they appreciated the way this was bringing their learning alive. Everyone from the newest Reception children to the headteacher who has not danced along to a steel band for a long time had an enlivening experience. Might even be tempted to buy their cd as it's only £5.99. Anyone agree that this is a good idea?

The last time I was this excited about worms I had just show them to the lady who cuts my hair for the third time! As we stood their looking at them she told me gently that I had actually shown her them twice before. The worms by the way are in the compost bin at the bottom of my garden. The reason they excite me so much is because they found my compost bin and made it their home and multiplied greatly. There are now very very many beautiful red worms who turn my unwanted vegetable peelings into the most amazing compost. I am now excited again because the children are going to put a real effort into making good compost at school. I can't wait to see the worms find their way in and watch the miraculous transformation.

What a wonderful Leavers' Celebration today. The dancing, singing, Conway presentation and the memories remind us exactly why we are so proud of this year's Year 6 cohort. So well supported by their Year 5 classmates it was an absolutely fantastic way to end the Summer Term. Saying goodbye to Mrs Pollard was always going to be hard because she means so very much to all of us. However we know she has entered retirement having had the best of times in Conway and with very proud memories of the achievements of all pupils and staff, but particularly this year's Year 6. Here's to a well earned break for all our staff. Many memories have been made throughout the year and these will be reflected on as we all rest and re-energise ourselves this summer.

What an excellent trip! The staff team was wonderful and the pupils equally so. Our Year 6 pupils experienced a wide range of activities including abseiling and nightline as well as organsied evening games and a camp fire. Many memories were made during the time away and it was a privilege to spend time in the company of such lovely children. An extra forum or 2 will now be added to the pupil section of the site for your children to read and respond to. let me know if your child needs help remembering their password so they can access this at home.

I love the new PE shirts - they will certainly make the children look the part when they are taking part in their PE activities. For Sports day we will no longer need house colour t-shirts as the children can all wear the new PE uniform and will be given a coloured wristband for their team colour. This will certainly save us all having to hunt around for spare t-shirts in house colours!

It was wonderful to be at the ceremony on Tuesday evening. So nice to
spend time with children and their families outside of the school day
and to be part of an important local event where lots of different
people and groups played a part. Our choir was fantastic and represented our school so well. Miss Marshall had helped them to learn the songs and present themselves professionally and the lyrics matched the occasion perfectly. Such confidence from our soloists too - excellent all round. I look forward to inviting the mayor, Tony Sherlock, to our school so he can see all the good work we are doing.

I had some interesting conversations today about jelly would you believe! One member of staff says it bores her to tears while one young boy in Year 1 was most surprised to hear this. "She doesn't even like strawberry jelly?" was his surprised question. This morning I was showing some new parents round school and we got talking about families being invited into school to eat with their children each month, which reminded me that it's healthy heart lunch tomorrow so I will need to capture special moments with my camera. If you ever see a photo round school of you and your child and you would like a copy, come and see us and we will see if we can print one out for you - it's always good to capture special moments.
