Welcome to our new website! The new interactive Learning Platform is the exciting way forward for our children in schools today. By clicking on the buttons in the panel on the left-hand side of each page, it will allow everyone who visits to access the public area of the site.  It will  also make available various different forms of information to pupils, staff and governors via the use of their unique username and password. Touch Typing at Gawsworth!!   Here at Gawsworth School we believe touch typing to be paramount in helping pupils to achieve.  Children as young as 6 years old are given a 'taster' session  and pupils in Year 3 are given touch typing lessons throughout the school year.  Click on the link below to find out more about this exciting skill.

 

Are you moving into Macclesfield?   Gawsworth Primary School is a popular school who accept children from a wide area. Bad Weather School Closures due to bad weather, heat, power or water supply failure. If we are unable to open school we will announce this on SilkFM 106.9 and on the school website Our website will be updated regularly with further information.  The LA has set up a winter weather site giving details of closures.  This will be updated twice daily at approximately 9.00am and 3.00pm.  Please click on the link button below to view this site.   In bad weather the road in front of the school (Longbutts Lane) is always treacherous. Do not enter, park away from the school. Please send in boots/wellies, warm coats, hats, gloves etc. If it is considered safe children will play outside. We will do our best to make our school and its surrounding environment as safe as possible but please take extra care during wintry conditions. Should early closure of the school day be necessary parents will be contacted by text, email, phone and website as applicable.
