General Information
Your child will have 2 hours PE curriculum time each week and will need to have a full kit in school at all times. Please ensure your child's name is written in each item of clothing.
Regular reading will be essential and should be encouraged at all times. In Class 2 your child will experience both guided reading and individual reading sessions. This needs to be complimented by regular reading at home, as reading at home is an essential consolidation of skills gained at school. Please could you sign the reading diary every time you share a book so that we have a regular record of home reading. The school Homework Policy suggests that your child should read at home at least 3 times a week for 10-15 minutes.
Snack money. Snack will continue to work in the same way as Year 1. There is the option to buy a snack from school milk or juice or bring your own healthy snack (no crisp or chocolate biscuits please) from home. If buying snack from school please ensure all money is given in Monday mornings in class, not at the office and must be in a named envelope. Please do not mix snack with Lunch money.
Milk or Juice with toast/ bagel is  £1.50 for the week .School dinners £2.10 per day.
Your child will have a variety of tasks set for homework over the year. Reading will be daily and ongoing through out the year. Spellings will be sent home each week in the Autumn and Spring terms.  Write and Check with your child. Children will be expected to complete this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights ready for a test on Friday. Termly internet homework will be set each term, please see the homework page for submission dates.
