Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council joined the BSF scheme in January 2007 and has around £202m of investment to transform secondary eduation and improve community facilities across the Borough.
Transforming learning, communities and lives together
Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton Councils are working closely together to deliver their BSF programmes. By joining forces the value of the overall project has been increased, attracting some of the UK’s leading construction companies to bid to build our secondary schools. Costs will be greatly reduced by sharing resources, but most importantly, expertise and knowledge will be shared to enhance overall outcomes of the programme for the benefit of local people.
