Every year the children each class elect a representative
to sit on the Eaton Primary School Council.
The children then meet regularly to discuss any issues relating to school.
This is chaired by Mrs White.
Mrs Rigden, attends these meetings as a member of staff, and Mrs Freemanas a Governor. They offer any support and guidance that may be needed.
We discuss solutions to concerns raised by the children, from complex issues such as ICT equipment, to everyday issues such as reducing the queue time for morning snacks.
In recent months the School Council has conducted a survey of every child in the school, asking their views on a wide range of topics. We asked about what they would like to see on the school menu, what equipment they felt we needed more of, and what out of school clubs and activities they would like to see the school introduce.
The Council have now collated those results and are working with the staff and governors to address the points raised by the children.
The children continuously seek the views of their peers on ways to improve our school and are a valued team within Eaton Primary School.
