We assess children in the foundation stage using the foundation stage profile. This sets out six areas of learning which form the basis of the profile. They are; personal, social and emotional development; communication, language and literacy; mathematical development; knowledge and understanding of the world; physical development and creative development. The profiles for each child will give detailed data relating to these areas which will be analysed by the foundation stage leader and senior leadership team.
Children’s attainment at the end of both key stages is assessed with Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs). This information is made available to parents and is used to help make judgements about the effectiveness of the school.
