At the mercy of the elements
Friends of Darwen Cemetery group aims to work with the borough council and local agencies to improve the condition of the cemetery.
FODC contacted Ashleigh to invite some of our Year 5 children to become involved in the conservation and renovation work that is to take place.
Work began with a visit to the cemetery to look at the present condition and at possible ways the cemetery could be improved for the people of Darwen. The children took lots of photographs to use as evidence of the cemetery's plight.
They used Photo Story 3 to make videos about the condition of the cemetery. You can look at these by clicking on the links in the left hand panel of this page.
