We are very proud of our Year 5 girls Abi Rose, Lizzie Hunt and Abi Thompson.
They worked together to create a winning design which will be reflected in this year's flower bed at the entrance to the park on Wealstone Lane. This photograph shows the girls at Walkers Nursery with owner Martin Walker and Mark Hargreaves, who is the Horticultural Manager at Chester Zoo. Walkers Nursery grows the flowers needed by the Zoo, and the Zoo is kindly providing the flowers for the girls' display. When the flowers are ready and the weather less cold, the girls look forward to planting the flower bed under the guidance of Mark and his expert team.

Engage For South Africa Project 2013 - Football Coaching Day
Thursday 23rd May
We are very excited to announce that one of our ex pupils, Thomas Messham, has been asked to go to Cape Town, Africa on June 16th coaching for 10 days. He is 1 of 4 students, aged 16-19yrs old, across Cheshire who have been selected. He will be going with the company HQ Coaching http://www.thehqcoachingcentre.co.uk/. This company is working in partnership with Sport Cheshire and is delivering the South Africa Project across Cheshire.
The company (HQ Coaching) delivered football coaching sessions to our school on Thursday (23rd May).
Every child in the school received a fun 30 minute coaching session during the day. In return, we asked pupils to donate any old football kits, boots or any old mobile phones. For those who didn't have any of these items, then we asked for voluntary donations of £1.00. All kits and boots will be flown over to South Africa this year. The mobile phones will be recycled and money raised from them and the £1s from the children will be spent on sports equipment for disadvantaged school children in Cape Town.
