The longer route follows a fairly flat spin out from Chester to St Martins for the first stop before crossing the Welsh border and heading in to the hills, crossing to Llangollen, over the Horseshoe Pass then on to Ruthin for the second feed stop. The shorter route is equally challenging and follows a more direct route to the main feed station. At this point both routes will meet up before returning to Chester via the lanes of north Wales.
