Our classteacher is Mrs Hodgkinson and Mrs Markland is our Teaching Assistant.
Mrs Fletcher gives up her own time to come in and help us too.
Mrs Hitchen teaches us French.
SUMMER TERM
This term our theme is:-
INDIA 
We will be finding out all about the country of India, and what it is like to live in a village in India.
We will design our own textile patterns and create Indian Rangoli patterns.
We will also listen to stories set in India, and Indian traditional tales.
Our new Science theme is SOUND, and we will link this to our learning about Traditional Indian Dance and music.
Our Learning Logs!
WOW! Absolutely AMAZING Work!!
This week we have all been returning our individual 'Learning Logs' to school to share with the class. The standard of work is absolutely FANTASTIC!!
Look at the photographs we took during the session today, where we shared our work and wrote notes to each other to describe the features we liked about each one... Well done Year 4!
We earned a class treat day! Well done Year 4!
As a special treat we arranged a fantastic Indian Dance workshop. We learned how Hindu dance gestures are used to tell a story, and learned some dance sequences ourselves!
Prajyoti, from the Pushpanjali Dance Team, came to deliver our workshop, and we had a fabulous morning.
Canon Maurice Smith from Manchester Diocese came to talk to Year 4 about his visit to the Church of England schools in Lahore, Pakistan. He shared lots of photographs and we had a quiz!

SPRING TERM
ROBOTS!
We had lots of fun designing and building our own robots!
We built a circuit board with two bulbs and a switch, to make its face :-)

Thank you to Thomas Holt and Reilly for bringing in their 'Robotic Arms'.
We learned how to input instructions to make it carry out different functions.

The Land of the Pharoahs

We studied artefacts from our Egyptian Museum loan and carefully made detailed sketches.
We set a challenge to 'Make a Mummy', without the removal of organs!!
We visited the 'Manchester Museum' to learn more about the Ancient Egyptians.
