Welcome to the F2 homepage! There are two F2 classes. Goslings are taught by Mrs Smith and Cygnets are taught by Mrs Lewis. This page gives you information about the topics we are studying and you can also stay up to date with our news. Book Time This half term we will be holding a Book Time session in school for you and your child. During this session you will hear the book being read and will be given your Book Time pack which includes the books 'The Tale of a Naughty Little Rabbit' and 'Tim's Din'. Check out the link: www.booktime.org.uk Handwritng, Letter Formation and Writing Numbers As we are sure you understand, the formation of letters and numbers is very important. The topics we will be looking at this term are: Space We will be looking at stories about space, such as 'Whatever Next' by Jill Murphy and 'The Way Back Home' by Oliver Jeffers. Also, we will be finding out facts about the different planets and the solar system. Chinese New Year We will be thinking about the celebration of Chinese New Year which is on Sunday 10th February this year. On Friday 15th February in the afternoon the children will take part in a Chinese New Year workshop. Traditional Tales After half term we will be learning about tradional tales such as 'The Three Little Pigs' and 'The Gingerbread Man'. We will act out the stories using props and puppets and the children will be able to retell the stories we look at. Easter During this topic we will understand why we have Easter and how we celebrate it. THANK YOU! Mrs Smith and Mrs Lewis
