We are proud to announce that Well Lane Primary school has twinned with Nyagasozi Primary School in Nyanza District, Southern Rwanda.
We will be establishing contact with the school soon and we will be doing some work together. Watch this space for further information and developments
For information on Rwanda see
Rwanda suffered from a genocide in 1994 and went through many years of conflict. The country is now developing well and children in primary schools across Rwanda are now starting to learn English as their official language
Rwanda is known as the land of a 1000 hills. It is a small country with a small population but is extremely mountainous.
The Virunga Mountains in Rwanda is home to the last remaining mountain gorillas. A wonderful experience and they are highly respected by everybody in the country.
We want to be an International School. Over this year we will be applying for our International School Award, which is in recognition for all the important work that we do throughout the year. We help others in some many ways. Geography and international topics are throughout the curriculum and children get to do a variety of different work learning about people and places.
If you would like any other information about our global school partnership or are interested about what geographical topics we cover then please don't hesitate to contact me.
