What is a toy library?

A toy library is made up of a wide range of toys, games and resources for children, parents and carers, families and groups to borrow.

 

Parents and carers can find out ideas for play and different resources to encourage child learning and development.

 

Where are the toy libraries?

The toy libraries can be found at 8 children’s centres across Blackburn with Darwen.

    What are the opening times?
    The toy libraries are open 8am – 6pm:
     

    Do I need to be a member?

    Yes, everyone who wants to use the toy library needs to become a member.  Childcare providers, nursery schools, childminders and primary schools can also join. 

     

    You will need to complete a children’s centre registration form to join the library. 

     

    How long can I borrow items for?

    You can borrow 3 items at one time and for up to 2 weeks.
