Primary SATs Tests 2012 KS1/KS2
The Year 6 results were made available yesterday and it is
my duty as headteacher to let all parents know the overall results. Before I
continue I would like to say a very big well done to all Y6 children
who worked extremely hard to get their results and to all the teachers who
worked very hard also. The results are as follows:
Reading: L4
97% (expected for age) L5
68% (above expected for age) L6
3% (end of Y9)
Maths: L4 100% L5
65% L6
6% (end of Y9 expected)
Writing: L4
97% L5
32% (note National Average 20% for this)
The level 4 and level 5 results above show
that attainment is very high at both levels, well above national
averages. This means that your children are performing in-line or better than
children the same age across the country (see tables of results).
At Barnston we embrace diversity and every
child achieving at their personal level. This is called value added
and is deemed important by ourselves and by Ofsted, as this
indicates whether the majority of children are improving from their KS1
result (year2) to the end of KS2 results (year 6). 97% hit their individual
sub-levelled targets in maths, whether expected to be level 3, 4 or 5 from
their KS1 results; 94% hit their target in writing and 100% in reading, which I
am sure you will agree is fantastic progress overall throughout the year group.
Congratulations year 6!
Yours sincerely,
Mrs S J Pearson |
