Students from six of the borough's secondary schools enjoyed a day in London, learning how quality design can help learning. The London trip was the first stage in 'JoinedUpDesign', a programme developed to support students to share their ideas on how new schools should look.
Following the experience pupils worked on their ideas, back at school. This included gaining fellow student views on design aspects including, colour schemes, school layouts, social space requirements and facilties. Ideas were then brought together at a Blackburn 'design day'. Click here to see the results of this project.
