Welcome to Class 3

Welcome back to a new term. There are a few changes to our timetable this term and we would like to give you some information about our new topics.

We know that you are always keen to support your child’s learning and therefore here are the topics that we will be studying this term:

Science: Helping plants grow well

Geography: Local study

R.E.: Islam

Maths Learning multiplication and division facts

English: Newspaper report writing

Art: Still life

This term we will have two outdoor P.E. lessons, hopefully on the field, one on Tuesday afternoon and the other on Friday afternoon. For the first five weeks of term, the Friday lesson will be a Tag Rugby training session run by a Sale Sharks coach. They will also do tennis and athletics during the term. Children must have trainers for these lessons – gym pumps are not suitable or safe.

If you would like to help in school either in the morning or afternoon, you would be more than welcome – please come in and have a word with us.
