PE BannerHEATH PRIDE, PLAY HARD, PLAY TO WIN

The Heath School is proud to have a busy and thriving PE department, which aims to be at the very heart of everything positive about our school.

At KS3, students are introduced to a wide variety of activities, with the aim to enable pupils to have new experiences. All of these experiences are assessed to identify strengths and weaknesses and to reveal how all pupils can find the activity which allows them to achieve the most.

At KS4, students can further develop these new experiences and have the opportunity to earn a GCSE (AQA) in Physical Education.

KS4 pupils can also develop coaching and leaderships skills to gain a Sports Leader Award, which adds to their Duke of Edinburgh and GCSE efforts.

SSCO

The school is part of the School Sports Co-ordinator Programme, and this enables us to link with both feeder primary schools and external providers such as Halton Borough Council, Sport Cheshire , Merseyside Sports Partnership and the many professional clubs in our area such as Liverpool , Everton, Chester Jets, Sale Sharks and Widnes Vikings.
The Heath has established links with Halton Table Tennis Club, Widnes Moorfield Angels, Halton Baseball Club, Runcorn Hockey Club, Runcorn Cricket Club, STAR Centre for Rounders and CV Fitness.
Several pupils have enrolled at The Heath Football School of Excellence.
