The teachers are Mrs Haslam and Miss Walsh.

Our wonderful teaching assistants are Mrs Smith,

Mrs Sulley and Mrs Kearney. Mrs Hitchen teaches us Music and Mrs Cox and Miss Gill look after us at lunchtime.

Summer term

Reception W will be looking at Australia.

Reception H will be looking at Africa.

We have subscribed to a new website:

'TES iBoard'

There are three folders containing lots of activities to do with your child. Folder 1 has language and literacy activities, folder 2 has maths activities and folder 3 has a variety of activities from other areas of the curriculum. The contents are changed every few weeks, so keep checking them out.

April 2013 - look at the symmetry activity in folder 2 and the frog life-cycle activities in folder 3.

Have a look at the reading books on the Oxford Owl website. Click on the link below. There are maths activities too if you want to take a look.

Phonics Play has some good games to support children's reading. Some of the games are free but you do need to subscribe to play all the games (it is £12 for a year)

For children who can hear initial sounds and are beginning to work on sounding out, try some of the phase 2 words in the 'Picnic on Pluto' game - its in the free section under interactive resources. When your child can mangage at phase 2, try some phase 3.

Many children can now play phase 4 and 5 games.
