Although we hope to add to our collection of video clips (see panel at top left of this page), there is a wealth of material (video and audio) available from the BBC broadband clips site. It is searchable by key word or can be browsed by subject/topic. Follow link on right.
BBC Learningzone- broadband class clips
TrueTube is a free, website which uses real-life stories and issues to encourage teenagers to explore and debate the world of morality, ethics, politics and religion. The content on TrueTube is for anyone to watch, however it is particularly suitable for anyone between the ages of 15 and 22, and for educators working with Key Stages 3 & 4.
A US site, the goal of which is to provide an online community for sharing instructional videos. It seeks to fill a need for a more educationally focused, safe venue for teachers, schools, and home learners. It is a site to provide anytime, anywhere professional development with teachers teaching teachers. As well, it is a site where teachers can post videos designed for students to view in order to learn a concept or skill.

The British edition of a US site - which claims, "SchoolsTube is different all of our content is verified and checked before it is allowed up onto the public areas of the site."

Schools Tube
At they believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. So they have made the best talks and performances from TED and partners available to the world, for free. More than 700 TEDTalks are now available, with more added each week. All of the talks feature closed captions in English, and many feature subtitles in various languages. These videos are released under a Creative Commons license, so they can be freely shared and reposted. The link on the right takes you to an index page where videosare grouped by theem - the site is also searchable by key word. Probably most valuable fro KS 4 and above.

Replay parts of those really useful programmes you may have seen previously using a range of popular TV streaming websites.  Click on the link you want on the right.

Other websites with useful video content

First Light helps young people from all backgrounds to develop their skills, talent, creativity, confidence and entrepreneurial capabilities. Their website contains films that have been made with grants obtained via First Light, along with helpful tips and links for budding young film makers. Keep a look out on the site for details of future grants towards film making and script writing.
