Fallibroome High School has a national reputation for innovation in teaching and learning and was judged to be ‘outstanding’ in all areas in our last Ofsted inspection in November 2006.

We are a Specialist College for the Performing Arts and, as a High Performing Specialist School, we have also been awarded two further specialisms, namely Training School and Leading Edge.

Our strong and sustained commitment to leading innovation and best practice in teaching and learning is at the heart of what we do. We have an established programme of action research which aims to evaluate the impact of new initiatives and share them via our local, national and international partnerships.

We believe that people are the most important resource in any organization and therefore we are committed to offering an ever-expanding programme of professional development for all staff.

Training school status brings additional funding which is used to invest in providing high quality professional development opportunities for all staff and the wider educational community. It helps us maintain our focus on teaching and learning so that we remain at the forefront of the latest developments aimed at raising standards. Arts College

As part of the Specialist programme in the Performing Arts, Fallibroome regularly holds INSET sessions for teachers of the arts subjects.

• developing and delivering Dance in the KS2 curriculum
• inspiring creative approaches to teaching and learning in the primary curriculum through drama

Further training is being planned to specifically focus on music and music technology for both primary and secondary teachers.
