ICT - On The Same Wavelength

Undoubtedly, we are all excited by the prospect of working in an environment that will be transformed by access to varied and developing technology. From this perspective we have a duty to explore how we can best use technology to support meaningful student achievement.

At BCHS we strongly believe students should be proficient and confident when using a computer and the software in order to fully participate in a rapidly changing world.

Recently, as the expected level of skill has increased in ICT, the focus has changed from a skills-based subject to one that requires understanding and application.

We want to embrace this change by adopting a more flexible approach which will give our students further opportunities to personalise their learning. Accordingly, in preparation for study at BCHS we are updating our curriculum to reflect this change of focus.
