Well done to the girls who came 3rd in the Football Tournament, with only a weeks practice they did brilliantly well with Kayla being awarded “Player of the Tournament”, and being described as a tenacious tackler! The girls were a credit to the school and I must also thank so parents for supporting us at the tournament.
Many thanks for those of you who were able to make the Parental Consultation this week and thank you to those of you who came to my coffee morning and afternoon tea. It was agreed that this would be a good process to continue each term in the future as a way of improving communication and keeping in touch.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of the congratulations and well wishes for my appointment as Principal of the Academy when we convert in January 2014. Our school community, children and staff have really made me feel welcome and part of the family very quickly and whilst we have to continue to work hard on our school to make it the best it can be; your support and engagement with us has inspired me to apply to stay on and complete the job we started in January of this year. I look forward to working with you and cementing our partnership over the next few years as we continue to make our school the best it can be. Together we will make a huge difference to our children.
Celebration assembly saw many awards given out this week. The theme for this week has been “Working On Our School.”
Star Pupil Awards were given to: Kira, Bethany, Charlie, Tom, Deni, Mason, Kieran, Keysha, Bailey, Nadine, Inaaya and Sophie.

We have parents meeting to discuss your child’s progress and where they should be at the end of the academic year, to talk about how they have settled into school this term and to share how we can work together to support their learning. I will be attending several meetings relating to the conversion to academy.
UCAT will be taking orders for the school uniform next week and as soon as possible, to ensure that the children can have their uniform in readiness for the start of the term in January 2014. Children can be measured for size on Thursday afternoon next week! (17th October)
