... > Pewithall Standard

The Pewithall Standard is a newspaper written and edited by the Year Six pupils during an after school club.

As we are environmentally conscious at Pewithall, we post each edition on the Internet on our V.L.E (Virtual Learning Environment).

This also means that the children feel like real journalists as they have the world as their audience.

As we want the children to gain as much as possible from the writing process, the stories they create may or may not be fictional.

Each story must be in a set newspaper format. This is:

Masthead, date and headline

Brief description of the article
Interest the reader.
Summarise the whole story.
Main Body
Use columns, sub- headings, detail and illustrations.
What is your point of view about the story?
If you don't come to newspaper club and want to write a news article down load the template and write your article!
