Festival of dance gets young people moving
Staff can help young people from all over the area put their best foot forward in a festive party at the annual Blackburn with Darwen Celebration of Dance 2009.
Everyone is welcome at this year’s event, and the theme is nature. It will involve over 500 children from 41 different schools across the area, who will perform their dances at King George’s Hall on Tuesday, June 2 and Wednesday, June 3.
It is an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the talent of its young people and give them a real chance to shine, as the performances take the audience though the natural world and beyond.
Doors open from 6.30pm and the performances start at 7pm on both days. Tickets are £3.50 each and are available from the King George’s Hall box office 0844 8471664.
