Dorin Park School

Dorin Park Specialist SEN College
"Dorin Park provides Outstanding Education"

Annie Hinchliffe Headteacher
Welcome to our website
Dorin ParkSchool gained an 'Outstanding' Ofsted (April 2011) and has Specialist Status for Cognition and Learning.
We provide a specialist learning environment for students with Complex and/or Physical learning needs, from the age of 2 through to age 19.
Our students have access to a broad range of National Curriculum Subjects and additional complementary subjects, such as Swimming and Performing Arts.
We have small class sizes with a high staff to pupil ratio. We aim to use a multi-professional approach to support the wide ranging needs of our students.
A wide range of professionals are involved in school life, in addition to our own in house staff - teachers and learning support assistants, counsellor/play therapist and Family Support Worker, we work with the School Nursing Service, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, CAMHs and TAMHs services, etc.
Students may be placed with us full time, or part time on a dual placement, with some attending additional lessons at local mainstream schools or colleges.
Our students demonstrate a wide range of unique abilities and special skills.   We are proud of all of our students and their individual/group achievements.
