Oaklands School

On 18th December we had our Christmas Carol Service at Over St John's Church in Winsford. Every year group performed a piece, year 10 did Little Drummer Boy on recorder and percussion, year 9 sang No Room at the Inn, year 8 sang I'm A Little Christmas Cracker, year 11 sang Silent Night and year 7 sang Away in a Manger after creating the nativity scene. We also had our signing choir and school choir joining forces to sing and sign In the Bleak Midwinter.

"The best for all, the best from all"

The Science department are always looking for ways to put the pupils knowledge into practice. On 12th November the pupils from years 9, 10 & 11 used their prior learning of electrical circuits to light up thier own lego city. One year 9 pupil was heard to say that it was "my best school day ever!"
