St Gregory's RCP School (Bolton) > Healthy School

We continue to promote a health lifestyle at St Gregory's and this has recently been recognised by Ofsted when this area was deemed outstanding!
We are currently working towards National Healthly Schools Enhanced status.

Some of the Healthy School initiatives that we have introduced in school include:
The Healthy School Breakfast & Exercise club(Half Termly)

A wide Variety of Sports Clubs Including; Football, Netball, Rounders, Gymnastics and Dance.

Healthy Schools Week - Linked with National School Sports Festival & Sports Days.

Regular visits from outside agencies  such as School Nurses and Dental Hygiene P.S.H.E specialists and many more .

One initiative that has worked very well is the 'Brush Bus'! This involves our Foundation Stage (Reception) and Key Stage One (Yr1 & Yr2) being provided with a toothbrush and toothpaste in school.
Teachers and support staff encourage the children to brush their teeth after they have eaten their lunch.
