Welcome to the VLE homepage for Year 3.
In year 3 we have two teachers, Mrs Dekker and Mrs Taylor. We also work with Mrs Mac.
Our topic this term is the Vikings. We will learn about where the Vikings came from and the differences they made to our history.
Our teachers would welcome any help from parents and grandparents who would like to help with the reading or in class. Please speak to one of the teachers if you can.
PE days are a Friday and a Tuesday for 3D or Wednesday for 3T, but the children will need their kit in school every day. (Check P.E. kits have a pair of shorts, a white t-shirt and pumps which fit comfortably)
Learning Logs are given out on a Friday and we would like them returned on a Monday. Please let the teachers know if you are away for the weekend and this is not possible. Handwriting books will also be sent home so that the children can practise their spellings.
Times tables / mental maths and spelling tests will be on a Friday morning. The children will need help from home in order to prepare for these.
Last year, Year 3 had a forum area and we were able to communicate with each other very quickly. We'd love to set this up again with our new Year 3 pupils.
