THE CREATIVE LEARNING JOURNEY

The creative learning journey is a theme based approach to teaching and learning, covering all areas of the curriculum in an interesting and creative way.

We teach the following skills and subjects within a half-termly or termly topic:

Knowledge and understinding of the world Design Technology Geography History ICT Religious Education Science	Creative Art Music	Physical Acquiring and developing skills. Evaluating and improving performance. Knowledge and understanding of fitness, health and safety. Selecting and applying skills, tactics and compostional tasks.

Mathematics Calculating Counting and understanding number Handling data Knowing and using number facts Measuring Using and applying mathematics Understanding shape	Personal, Social and Emotional Development Playing an active role as citizens Developing confidence and responsibility Developing a healthy, safer lifestyle Developing good relationships Learning from Religion	Communication, language and literacy Creating and shaping texts Drama Engaging with and responding to texts Group discussion and interaction Listening and responding Presentation Speaking Sentence structure and punctuation Text structure and organisation Understanding and interpreting texts Word recognition, decoding (reading) and encoding (spelling) Word structure and spelling
