Overview of Curriculum
All pupils are entitled to a relevant, broad and balanced curriculum, with access to the full range of the National Curriculum. Subjects are presented in ways which are meaningful and relevant and which fit in with objectives on the pupils' statements.
For many pupils additional therapeutic and sensory experiences form part of their curriculum.

Three areas of the curriculum are taught in addition to the National Curriculum.
- Play
- Communication
- Personal Independence
For pupils below Year 1 the Early Learning Goals replace the National Curriculum.

The Primary Strategy for Literacy and Numeracy is well developed throughout school. All pupils therefore have access to a curriculum which is appropriate to their needs. The curriculum has been modified to include the recent guidelines regarding pupils working at early developmental levels.
