Roll Up! Roll Up!
This half term our topic is "The Circus". During this topic the children will explore the different people who are part of the circus.
We started this topic with a circus workshop which the children thoroughly enjoyed. We learnt how to juggle with scarves, balance feathers, spin plates, walk on stilts and lots of other exciting skills.
Over the next few weeks, we will be designing and making clown hats, circus puppets and character collages. We can't wait to show you!
Our outdoor area is being transformed into a big top where the children are able to practice their circus skills. They can hula hoop, spin plates, juggle and carry out ribbon dances. Inside our role play is also circus related. Here the children have the opportunity to work at the circus box office, take centre stage or work in the clown cafe. The children will be exploring paying for tickets and different items and finding the correct change.
We also enjoyed Freddie Fit coming to visit!
The Way, The Truth and The Life
This half term our "The Way, The Truth and The Life" topic is "Following Jesus". Through this topic we are looking at how we can be more like Jesus, how he chose his disciples and how he taught them to pray.
