Ss Peter & Paul RCP School (Wirral)

Ss Peter & Paul RCP School (Wirral) > Headteacher
As the newly appointed headteacher of Ss Peter and Pauls Catholic Primary School I am interested to find out the views of parents and carers and would ask if you have not already to complete the parents questionnaire which I have recently sent out by pupils post. If you would like to complete the survey below this will also help me to gauge your perception of the school.

If you are a new parent or carer to Ss Peter and Pauls it is my privilege to welcome you to our school and share with you our aims and hopes for all our pupils and the whole school community.
Our Mission Statement -'To grow in knowledge and love and walk in the footsteps of Jesus' gives us direction each day and helps us to celebrate life to the full and be thankful.
Our shared learning journey is designed in our school  to give a wide range of opportunites to our children, taking account of the inidividual needs, skills and talents of all our pupils.
As a school we offer opportunities for Foundation 2 pupils to start our school with a full induction, including packs of activities to take home and complete. This process helps them to 'get ready' for starting school. It helps mums and dads too!
Our year three pupils prepare and receive the Sacraments of First Forgiveness and First Holy Communion during their year. This is a special time for families and the whole school community.
In year five, pupils are given the experience of their first school residential visit. This takes place at Kingswood Education Centre and the children enjoy a range of activiities over their three day stay.
This opportunity is followed in year six with a five day outdoor educational visit to Oaklands in North Wales. These are both very important experiences for pupils, helping to develop many skills and offering teambuilding opportunities.
Throughout their time in school all pupils will experience a range of learning opportunities and educational visits to enhance their lives and knowledge. Every effort is made to make learning and activities as creative and enjoyable as possible. Our excellent school staff are supported by parents and the PTA and work in partnership for the children.
Similarly in spiritual matters and throughout the Liturgical year, the whole school community is supported by Father Phil Moor. Our faith is at the heart of everything we do at Ss. Peter and Paul's.

Visitors to our school will notice the work that goes on by pupils, parents and staff to support Fairtrade and CAFOD. Fundraising is carried out on a regular basis and it is always astounding to note the generosity of the whole school community. The school has links with a number of schools, including Rwanda in Africa.
There are many international events during the school year where we learn about other cultures and celebrate certain festivals and events.

The German language is taught in our school and pupils enjoy the experienc of 'tastes' of other languages too at certain times.

We welcome you to our school and hope that you will find happy children and staff working alongside each other, sharing their learning journeys and their faith in everyday experiences.
