MATHS DAY - NOVEMBER 2010

Many thanks to everyone who helped to make the day so enjoyable. The children loved the puzzles, hands on activities and the opportunity to work closely with groups of highly motivated sixth form students from four Wirral Schools.

 We didn't give up!

Special thanks goes to the students and teachers of Calday Grammar, Upton High School, Pensby High School, Wirral Grammar School for Boys and Laura, Wirral's Advisory Teacher for Mathematics.

Here are some of the things we think we learnt during the day:
  • Working in a team is helpful.
  • Trying to come up with a different way of looking at the problem
  • Drawing the problem helps
  • Not giving up.
  • Checking there is only one possible answer
