We have been awarded our Green Flag. Eco Committee were magnificent.
Welcome to Bunbury Aldersey School's Eco Page. We have four raised beds for growing vegetables and have now made large vegetable beds in the new field. Potatoes are planted in one and fruit bushes in the other.
We also look at different ways that the school can decrease waste and save energy. To do this the Eco club have made short films with sockpuppets about composting, recycling, saving water and saving energy.
Summer 2013 We are gong to be digging the potato plot on the first saturday of the Summer Term. Any volunteers will be very welcome. This term we will be starting to plant vegetables and looking at the amount of waste left in the dining room at lunchtimes. Spring 2013 Eco Committee are very keen. They have changed the notice board entirely on their own and created a lovely border. They have been looking to see which classes keep leaving their lights on. They are then going to take an assembly to see if we can encourage the school to save electricity. We will be starting gardening/eco club. Mrs Sissons and I really enjoy it as we do lots of different things.
