At Capenhurst Grange we offer a ‘24 hour’ curriculum that adds fun, along with a variety of activities and opportunities, to the learning experience for our pupils.
All pupils are welcome to experience the residential side to our curriculum, where they can explore a wide range of activities and even some special events, during the evenings. Then after a long eventful day, they can settle down to sleep in the comfort of their own rooms, some with en-suite bathrooms and all modern amenities on hand. Our residential buildings are modern, safe and secure with living rooms, kitchens and shower/bathrooms. All pupils in residence will have an allocated member of staff (key worker) to support and assist them with all aspects of residential life.
For our older pupils, we are currently developing an ‘independence unit’ where our pupils can learn how to be self sufficient and life skills are supported and developed.
A wide range of after school activities, both on and off site, are accessible for all pupils up until 7.30pm four evenings per week. An evening meal and transport home is provided.
All care staff are first aid trained and can administer any medication that your child may need. Our own school nurse is available for any queries or advice parents or pupils may need and holds a ‘health zone drop-in’ for pupils on a Monday. Further information is available from the school on admission.
If more information is required please do not hesitate to contact us.
Capenhurst Grange aims to support parents and carers by providing information, advice and support to help break down and barriers between home and school, thus improving the wellbeing of our pupils and improve their learning opportunities and experiences.
