As ever this was an overwhelming success. Thank you to everyone for making it so by attending and/or contributing.
The end total was a fantastic £2658!
This means that we now have the funds for the Maths Library and this will be set in motion in the near future.
Non Uniform Day
The children looked amazing dressed in colours from the African flag to help celebrate the visit from our African guests.
The total raised was £174 - thanks to everyone who participated! These funds have been added to our savings for the Maths Library.
This was a joint venture between The White Lion, Weston and the PTA and was held at the White Lion.
A fantastic time was had by all - with the children enjoying a disco, games and cakes!
Thank you to everyone that attended - we raised £210! This is a great start towards the Maths Library that we're saving for.
The KS2 play equipment was installed on 11th May and consists of a 7 item trim trail and separate traversing climbing wall!
The equipment was officially opened by Mr Edward Timpson MP on Friday 20th May. The whole school attended the opening and gave the play equipment a resounding "thumbs up"!
A massive "thank you" to everyone that has made this possible.
Easter Bunny Hop
This fundraising event was held during school time w/c 4th April. The children in each class hopped, skipped and jumped their way around the 'golden mile' and received a certificate, chocolate bunny and pair of glo-stick bunny ears for their effort. The children were also treated to a disco on the Friday of that week where a lot of the bunny ears were worn and some amazing dancing was seen!
The hop was extremely well supported and thanks to everyone's efforts we raised a magnificant £848! This was added to the KS2 Play Equipment Fund and took us to our target of £5,000!
Thank you everyone!
A huge "thank you" to everyone who attended or contributed to the Christmas Fair which was held on Friday 3rd December and was a massive success raising £2,600 which has been added to our KS2 play equipment fund. The fund now stands at £4,000 and we are getting ever closer to our target of a minimum of £5,000. We are currently discussing requirements, plans, formats and costs with play equipment companies. We will keep you posted on progress.
Pub Quiz Night
The quiz night was held on Friday 15th October and was a massive success with over 100 people taking part and a great time was had by all. The White Lion ran a raffle and very generously donated £50 which has been put towards our KS2 play equipment fund.
The event was so successful that the White Lion are running a quiz regularly so please look out for the sign outside the pub advertising the next date.
A fabulous time was had by all at the
Sponsored Walk and
Mad Hatter's Tea Party
on Sunday 27th June.
It was a glorious day and everyone had excellent fun.
A wonderful total of £1,390 was raised from this event!
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped.
We'd also like to thank all those who couldn't make the event but generously sent in donations anyway, it's much appreciated.
We have made a fantastic start to the play equipment fund for the Juniors' playground!
Please spare some time and come along to the next PTA meeting where you can find out about our upcoming events and help decide how the PTA funds can be spent to help our children and the school. Monies raised by the PTA help to subsidise school trips and educational events as well as the purchase of school equipment.
The PTA meetings are usually held at the school or a member’s house and are casual in format - everyone has a chance to put ideas forward and we have a laugh over a cuppa and a biscuit!
If you can’t attend any of the meetings, but would like to ask any questions or offer your support, please leave a note at the office or in the gold PTA box in the school’s entrance hall, or speak to your child’s class rep (ask the teacher if you’re not sure who this is).
We are happy to email you with PTA meeting minutes, newsletters and details of events, so do let us know if you’d like to be added to our email list.
