“Children’s creativity must be extended by the provision and they should be offered support for their curiosity, exploration and play. They must be provided with opportunities to explore and share their thoughts, ideas and feelings, for example, through a variety of art, music, movement, dance, imaginative role-play activities, mathematics and design technology”

Dance
The Borough is very fortunate in taking part in a pilot scheme in partnership with Youth Dance England. We have one of only 8 Dance Co-ordinators in the country. This role is to work with teachers to develop Dance in schools. Caroline Callaghan is our Dance co-ordinator and can be contacted on: 01254 666518 Dance Link
Art
We are able to support schools in developing their artwork, wither for display or integrating Art into a creative curriculum. We have several schemes of work which do this and which will be available soon to download from the learning platform. We are able to offer bespoke schemes of work, with resources. For further information, please contact Joan Parkhouse.
Drama
We are able to offer Drama workshops as well as Drama schemes of work on a number of themes. We are also able to offer integrated drama workshops on themes requested by schools. Please contact Joan Parkhouse if you would like to develop Drama in your school.
