Following on from the Royal Wedding, Great Budworth CofE Primary School recently held their own wedding service. The pupils had great fun dressing up for the occasion, held in St Mary’s and All Saints Church in Great Budworth. The Rev Alec Brown presided over the service, held in front of family and friends, who then joined the children for a Wedding Reception lunch. The celebration has been used within RE lessons to teach the children about the importance of including God and the Church in a major life decision, as well as demonstrating how a personal faith is central to loving one another. Having learnt about the vows and how they reflect the seriousness of making a life-long commitment, the children wrote their own prayers and speeches to use on the day. |

"Thank you" Ian Grassby from Northwich Rugby Club who presented our school with some super rugby balls, bibs and tag belts after our participation in the rugby sessions provided by Sports England.
We have been one of twelve schools chosen to receive this free rugby coaching and look forward to more of the same next year.
Ian helps with Northwich Rugby Club which meet at Mossfarm on Sunday mornings. Further details about the club are available from Ian on igrassby@northwichrufc.co.uk
