Three Bullseyes Presentation clipartDifficulty depends on levels and groups. Please find specific targets for this unit in your child's planner. Above you can find further information about your child's targets.

Big Maths- Learn it's

Learn Its are practised daily. We spend only 3-5 minutes on each section.

Counting to partition numbers and know how many twns and units there are in the number. eg 45 is 40+5. to then find 40 objects and 5 more so the children understand what the number means. Also, we will play activities to help the children estimate by throwing items on the floor and wanting to know how many objects there are without counting. Can your child recognise what 5 looks like?
Learn its- Follow the instructions to rapidly double numbers from 6- 10
1. Read them

2. Learn them

3. Parent recall (children test you)

4. Pupil recall (test your child)

5. Do the same without the answers
eg: 6+6=12, 7+7=14, 8+8=16, 9+9=18, 10+10=20

It’s Nothing New-

We will be revisiting number bonds to 10 and their inverse eg 6+4=10, 10-6=4 etc
Counting in 5's pratically, looking at lots of groups and ordering numbers from smallest to largest and largest to smallest to ensure the children can order and also understand the related vocabulary.
