  They are taking part in activities to explore different ways of moving.
 
YEAR 1
 This term the children will be working hard to develop their gym and dance skills.
 
YEAR 2
This term the children will be doing multi skills.
 
YEAR 3 
This term the children will be learning skills for invasion games. They will play mini games of rugby, hockey and netball. Sessions will be led by Mr. Lamprey, head of P.E. from Calday Grammar School.

YEAR 4
 
This term the children will be learning skills for invasion games. They will play mini games of rugby, hockey and netball. Sessions will be led by Mr. Lamprey, head of P.E. from Calday Grammar School.

 YEAR 5
 

 This term the children will be learning skills needed for invasion games. They will put their skills to use playing team  games of rugby, hockey and netball. Sessions will be led by Mr. Lamprey, head of P.E. from Calday Grammar School.
YEAR 6
 
This term the children will be learning skills needed for invasion games. They will put their skills to use playing team  games of rugby, hockey and netball. Sessions will be led by Mr. Lamprey, head of P.E. from Calday Grammar School.

BOYS FOOTBALL
 
 
 
 This is a very popular club and open to boys in  Y6.
Y5 and Y4 train prior to their matches.
It takes place on Tuesdays
3.30 - 4.30
 
 We have again entered the Houlihan Cup and the Corgi cup for younger players. Click here to keep an eye on their position.

NETBALL
Netball club meet on Thursdays
3.30 - 4.30.
It will be open to Y5 and Y6. We will try the new HI 5 netball which requires a mixed team of boys and girls. If you like netball and basketball type games then practice your shooting and come along and join the fun.

Cross Country Club takes place on  
 on the school field in the Autumn and Spring terms.
Children who can keep up a good pace and who do well in races are invited to run after school on Thursdays for extra training up Thurstaston Hill to Royden Park. 
 
Children get the chance to run in the Wirral Primary School Races.

Tabitha Roberts and Sam Tempest from Year 5 have been asked to be members of Wirral Olympic Committee. Their job will be to keep us up to date with Olympic news and events. Check out the Olympic display board. Who is our Olympic hero each week? Can you find the  answer to a weekly question? 
 
Last summer our current Y6 met Aisha Hansen at the Oval.
 
 She won the world championship and held the world record for the triple jump before she retired. She spent time talking to the children and signing our Olympic banner.

MINI WHISTLERS
Y5 children have been trained as referees and  take it in turns to referee matches at playtimes. 

 
 PLAYGROUND LEADERS
  
 
Y5 have been trained to organise our ks1 children and show them how to play games and use the markings on the little playground.  They are teaching them singing  rhymes and circle games.

 MORNING MOVE IT
 
Children from year 5 have volunteered to learn some aerobic routines set to music. They will be 'move it leaders' on the playground stage showing us all the moves to get us warmed up and ready for learning. Get to school by 8.45 am ready to join in.
