A letter from the Head of School
Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all pupils of Cranberry Primary and Nursery school back from what I hope was a relaxing and enjoyable Summer Holiday, and to introduce myself as the new Head of School.
I will be working alongside the existing senior management team at Cranberry, the teaching staff and, importantly, the children in order to help our school to build upon the progress that was made during the Summer months, and to achieve our full potential during the coming school year. In addition to our commitment to raising standards in Literacy and Numeracy we are also aiming to deliver a fresh and exciting wider curriculum for all pupils during the next twelve months, and we intend to make Cranberry an enjoyable and inspiring place in which to learn, grow and develop.
Parents will be kept fully up to date with school events as they happen, either directly or in the school newsletter sent home with your child each week. In addition, there are notice boards in both the Infant and Junior playgrounds which will be updated regularly with relevant school information. The school website is currently undergoing reconstruction and, in December, will once again be an interactive tool that parents and children can access in order to make the most of their learning experience at Cranberry.
If you have any queries relating to your child’s experience of school, would like to find out more about the way in which we work, or even offer to come and assist in class, please feel free to contact either your child’s teacher or myself and we will be more than happy to help.
I look forward to working in partnership with you during the coming school year!
Yours Sincerely,
Mr David Jobling
Head of School
