Welcome to Inclusion
Culcheth High School is committed to Inclusion - All teachers are teachers of Special Educational Needs and they are supported by a large and strong team of support staff.
The Inclusion Department is situated in the Shakespeare wing but our team work throughout the school. We are a busy department and our staff are enthusiastic, dedicated and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.
We strongly believe that Every Child Matters, taking into account children's diverse learning and emotional needs whilst helping students overcome any barriers to learning.
Our team provide support to Student Achievement Co-ordinators and all departments in a variety of ways, ie, specialist teaching, writing and implementing IEPs, IBPs and PSPs and in-class support. We also offer strategies that help students improve their learning and behaviour management.
We believe that it is important to equip our students with the confidence and the life skills that are necessary both in school and out in the community.
Many of our students also access the extra-curricular activities that we offer, enabling them to gain further knowledge and experience outside of the academic curriculum.
We enjoy close links with parents/carers which we believe is invaluable when dealing with the complex nature of some of our students. | Our Team
