Who will you be on Thursday 6th March ?
Next Thursday 6th March is World Book Day. We are inviting our children to come dressed up as their favourite book character. There will be book prizes for each class and every child will receive a £1.00 book token.
We do not expect you to go to enormous expense and hire costumes. The prizes will be for the most creative (simple) costumes. I have put a link at the top of the letter and there are lots of dressing up ideas on this site.
We have dressed up in the past and it has been a great day and I look forward to seeing all our children as their favourite characters on Thursday 6th March.

special assemblies plus the Learning Light House are visiting Yr3 to do some blue/green screen work and High Impact are doing stop animation with Yr6.
We have noticed an increasing number of our children taking items from their lunch boxes at break time. It is quite acceptable to provide your child with a snack at break but it should be a piece of fruit. Crisps and chocolate bars are not allowed. We have Healthy Schools status and encourage our children, wherever possible, to eat a healthy and balanced diet.
Also we have had a couple of outbreaks of Headlice!! Can we urge you to check your children's hair please and treat them accordingly. We are aware that headlice treatment is expensive but a nit comb and conditioner is still very effective-Thank you.
Our Christmas Fayre and School Disco raised an impressive £1400
A big thank you to everyone who came and helped make it such a success. Friends of Park are now hoping to purchase a 'defibrillator' with the money raised.

There is a display in the lower atrium and it will be the House captain's job to collect points on a Friday to be announced in Monday's assembly. There will be rewards for the house with the most points.
