Welcome to Year 1
Our teacher is
Miss Randles. Mrs Shaw, Mrs Williams and Mrs Owen also work with us.
Val and Sue come to read with us every week, and Miss Casey is volunteering every Wednesday and Friday. Also Miss Devlin will be working with us on a Friday afternoon.
We have started our term learning all about Ourselves and our Families. We found that our families are all very different but all are fantastic!
When we were learning about our bodies, we also learnt how exercise keeps us healthy.
We enjoyed using our Senses to taste food, we loved the jam sandwiches which we made ourselves.
We had a Halloween week, and we had a Halloween party. It was great.
We raised money for Children In Need. In November we raised over £450.
In January we celebrated the New Year by making special promises and we learnt about Chinese New Year, 2013 is the Year of the Snake.
