PSCA Meeting - Thursday 17th January 2013
This meeting was cancelled due to the weather - we will send out a new date as soon as possible.
PSCA Disco - Friday 22nd March 2013
We are sorry, but due to low ticket sales, this disco has been cancelled. Students who have purchased tickets can get their refund from the Finance Office.
Alton Towers Trip - Saturday 4th May 2013
This popular trip is full and we currently have a waiting list. Students who have been given a place will need to come to school for 8.15am as the coach will be departing at 8.30 am prompt. Students should wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions and bring either a packed lunch or money for food. Students will be free to explore the park during the day and will meet with their key adult at an agreed time. The coach is expected back to school at around 6.30pm-7.00pm.
James Bond in Brineball - Saturday 6th July 2013
Following the success of last year's summer ball, we are pleased to announce this year's event. The theme is Bond, James Bond and the evening will comprise of a Cocktail on Arrival (bet you can't guess which one!), a 4 Course Meal, Live Band, Raffle and Auction plus dancing until the early hours. We have managed to maintain the ticket prices at £30 each and these are available to purchase from the PSCA co-odinators on 01270 625663 or email psca@brineleas.co.uk. We hope lots of you are able to come to this event and have a fun evening at the same time as supporting your child's school.

PSCA Meetings & AGM
All parents, carers and guardians are welcome to attend. If you have any ideas or are able to help with an event please come along to a meeting.
PSCA Discos
Throughout the year, the PSCA holds discos for students in KS3. This year they will be held on 28th September 2012, 9th November 2012, 1st February 2013 and 22nd March 2013 - posters are displayed and notices go into Year 7, 8 and 9 registers to let them know when a disco is coming up and how to purchase tickets. In addition, an Intake Disco is held each June for the Year 6 pupils who will be joining BLS in Year 7. This extremely popular disco is also open to the current Year 7 students and during this academic year, it will be held on Friday 21st June 2013.
Helpers
Helpers are needed at a variety of events such as school discos and concerts. If you are able to spare a couple of hours every now and then to help run a tuck shop or serve refreshments etc, please do contact the PSCA co-ordinators at school on 01270 625663 or email psca@brineleas.co.uk.
Other News
Tokens
The school make use of all tokens from supermarkets. Please encourage friends and family to collect them as they can be used to purchase valuable equipment for the school. Please post them at the drop box by pupil reception. Every one counts!
Unwanted Presents or Household Items
A reminder that your unwanted presents make excellent raffle and tombola prizes. These can be left at reception. |
