Last Thursday our school football team played Tarporley Primary School in the opening game of the Fazakerley Cup, a competition set up in memory of Jay Fazakerley, Year 5/6 teacher from Duddon Primary School, who was tragically killed last year.
An excellent performance ended with a 1-0 victory - the goal scored early in the game by Rory Willson. The competition will continue with future fixtures home and away to Delamere Academy, as well as a return fixture against Tarporley Primary School.
The finals day will be held at Duddon St Peters Primary School on Thursday May 24th - where the first winner of the Fazakerley Cup will be crowned!
