Well done to the boys football team who won the 'Plate' competition at the Fazakerley Finals on Thursday at Duddon St Peters Primary School.
After beating Duddon and Calveley in the group stages, we qualified for the final which we played against Delamere Academy.
An early Jack Wilkinson goal set us on our way before Delamere equalised. The game finished 1-1 and so the final was to be decided by penalties.
Our penalty taking was superb, as was the goalkeeping of Harry Hook. Ryan Miller stepped up to score the winning penalty and win Utkinton it's first footballing trophy in quite some years! Well done everyone.
