‘ The GCSE results are once again excellent; 99% of students achieved 5 or more GCSE’s at A* to C, a massive 32% achieved A or A*’s and a total of 34 students achieved 10 or more A* or A’s GCSE’s. At least 74% of the cohort achieved 5 or more GCSE’s A* to C including English and Maths. Right across the ability range students have really excelled with targets being beaten by many. The English Baccalaureate comes in at 25%. Finally the average point score per students weighs in at 559.
Headteacher Andrew Cliffe commented, ‘To achieve results like these students have to work hard and to be well taught, as well as enjoying the support of their families. The early entry results, in subjects such as Astronomy and a breadth of subjects, including Latin, demonstrate a rich and varied curriculum. There have been some great achievements within the student community at all levels. I am really pleased with their success and further delighted that so many are choosing to continue their education with us in the Sixth Form.’
