Every Thursday morning this year the children of Year Four have been having music lessons through the Wider Opportunities.  They have had the opportunity to learn one of: acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums or keyboard.

On Thursday 12^th July all the children went to the Town Hall to join other schools to perform the songs that they have learnt over the year with the rock band made up of their teachers.

They performed a number of songs including ‘Rockin’ all over the World’ and ‘Ruby’.  The concert was ended with a ‘free expression’ dance number by all of the children while the band played.

A fantastic time was had by all and many thanks go to Iain McKnight and Maxine Birchall for teaching the children all year and to the parents for coming to support the children as an audience.
