                                                                                                 Governors

The Governing Body is the school’s “critical friend”. The Governors are responsible for policy and general strategy, not day-to-day management (which is properly the province of the Head Teacher and staff). The Governing Body is concerned with such matters as financial planning, curriculum issues and the maintenance of buildings and grounds within the overall objective of providing the best possible education for all our children.  Governors may be parents, members of staff (both teaching and non teaching), appointees of the Local Authority and co–opted governors (members of the local community who have a particular strength to bring to the Governing Body).
